After following their music for more than a year now and seeing them rise in popularity, there's something about this electro-pop band that just gives me life (it’s crazy). A long while back, my bestie and I were downloading some music from her Shazaam app and that is the moment when I heard Smoke Filled Room (please dig my grave now).
That one song was the song that I would hear over and over again in different places but never knew the name (hate when that happens). To have ended my search for a title and an artist to this summer jam that was in my head for months was not only a relief but a moment of pure excitement (I get intense right).
Smoke Filled Room was not only used and abused (like how Kylie posts a thousand snapchat stories) but it was idolized as my song of the summer. I couldn’t get enough, and lucky for me (sometimes it happens) my friends neither.
The obsession does not end there. Hourglass (the first album) came out and I was beating my ear drums to assimilate this new music into my reality (again, I’m a bit crazy). I think I played the album from beginning to end (not on shuffle, never on shuffle if you know what I mean) for a month straight and then dwindled my listening to a few select songs that meant something to me (like cutouts from a teenage magazine hung on my wall).

Not only will you not be disappointed but you will actually thank me (like actually). I have also made it easier for you with their Soundcloud:
I have also provided you with some excellent videos: (Watch them and you'll understand)
That being said, I hope you can share this obsession with me and allow the music to speak for itself and set you free into an endless summer with pink skies and a warm breeze.
For now I am always obsessed, confessed and forever a Mako fan :)
P.S.: Alex, if you ever read this, I can't judge you on your mini golfing skills but I'm sure you can play the heck out of that French Horn. Please keep playing and singing!
